Garden Rules
Please text us each time you arrive to check in! Our phone number will be posted at the garden, please text when you arrive, (503) 451-0675. This allows us to know who is coming, so we can track water usage and monitor for your safety. We love to see all the pictures and hear all your garden stories!
Don’t forget your passport! Each time you arrive at the garden, you will want to stamp it in your passport. There will be a new stamp every week, located in the jars (located on potting bench and water container by church). Each stamp you receive, will get you closer to receiving a prize at the end of the season. You need (20) stamps to earn a prize!
Attend garden classes! Our Master Gardener, Corinne is an amazing teacher and you won’t want to miss her classes. Classes are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 11AM. During each class, she will have a special stamp you to stamp in your passport. If you attend (4) classes you will earn a very special prize!
Restrooms - There are no restrooms located on site. The closest restroom is at Safeway, down the street. Please be mindful of this when you plan your time at the garden and/or classes.
Compost - We have a sign posted on the compost bin to remind us of what can and cannot go in there. Please compost mindfully and if you are unsure there will be a blue plastic basket/bin you can put debris in or trash can. If it’s healthy and not a weed, it can go in! If it’s yellow, has bugs, or spotty it’s best to put it in the garbage can.
Water - Please let us know if water is getting low in the water bin. You can let us know by texting us when you check in. We will come over as soon as possible to fill it up. If it is low or empty, we will send a group message to let everyone know when it will be filled again, so you don’t show up and it’s empty.
Surroundings - Please be mindful that we are using the church’s property and next to us is a public park, where many sports and events occur. Please pick up after yourself. There is a trash bin provided on site. If you see something lost, please place it in the lost and found bin. If you notice anything unusual or concerning, please report to us. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring we can continue to use this space!
Lastly, Have fun! (this is the most important one!)
